The University of South Florida is pleased to announce that we are seeking applicants for a new Emergency Coordinator position to support the USF System’s growing emergency management program.
This position will report to the Emergency Manager as part of the USF System’s Department of Emergency Management, located at our Tampa campus.
This position will support the USF Emergency Manager through prevention, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation programs for the USF System. Coordination of the University's Critical Infrastructure Program and Information Management Systems will be important job functions of this position. The Emergency Coordinator will also develop plans, procedures, checklists, outreach initiatives, training and exercise programs. This position is mission critical to the University and is required to be on-call.
Collaborate with designated University personnel to support the Critical Infrastructure program. Perform assessments and manage data in compliance with national standards.
Maintain the University's Emergency Operations Center, including technology and systems to support emergency operations.
Prepare, train, and exercise emergency plans, standard operating procedures, and checklists.
Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of University and department emergency exercises and drills. Develop After Action Reports (AAR) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
Support the Emergency Manager during emergency operations, both on-scene and from the USF Emergency Operations Center.
Coordinate emergency notification system drills, training, and enhancement projects.
Apply for and manage awarded grants relevant to emergency management initiatives.
Performs additional related duties as required.
