Deputy Regional Disaster Officer– Princeton, NJ

Under the direction of the Regional Disaster Program Officer (RDPO), the Deputy Regional Disaster Program Officer is responsible for the implementation of the disaster services program within a large subsection of the largest regions (defined as Extra Large, Jumbo and Mega) and/or may be responsible for large sections of two regions or more in alignment with established metrics. The Deputy RDPO will be responsible for the effective management and leadership of Disaster Program Managers (DPM) as well as Functional Lead Managers for a defined area.  The Deputy RDPO will also ensure that employees and volunteers within a region are assigned specific “relationship management” responsibilities with key emergency management staff, non-governmental organizations and corporate/organizations supporting disaster services (i.e., account management).  Serves during times of disaster in an operational leadership role for any scale of disaster.  Participates in a leadership role on larger operations regionally, division or nationwide. In the absence of the RDPO, assumes responsibility for the implementation of the disaster services program throughout the region.

Disaster Workforce Engagement Manager – Rochester, NY

The Disaster Workforce Engagement Manager is responsible for leading and managing a staff and volunteer team to support and provide Disaster Workforce engagement in Western and Central New York.  The Disaster Workforce Engagement Manager serves as the lead functional expert in a Red Cross Region for supporting the disaster workforce. Tailoring national program offerings for the Region and communities within the Region, providing technical expertise, training, and leading regional implementation of Disaster Workforce priorities, this position supports regional employees and volunteers in the disaster territories to build capacity in the local community for the disaster cycle.  Specific functions of this position include program implementation, remote team building of employees and volunteers, and soliciting feedback from end customers.

Disaster Program Specialist – Buffalo, NY

The Disaster Program Specialist is responsible for either providing functional expertise to the Disaster Program Manager (DPM) and Volunteer Leadership at a territory or regional level, or, taking full cycle responsibility to provide service delivery programs within a subset of the Disaster Program Managers assigned geography and under the supervision and authority of the DPM. The DPS will accomplish this responsibility largely through the support, development and operational guidance of a team of trained volunteer leaders, volunteers and partners, as well as participate in the implementation and development of initiatives to increase Red Cross visibility through program/service delivery.
