The Disaster Program Manager position is responsible for the implementation of the disaster services program in the Southern Tier: will cover 10 counties—Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Tioga, Cortland, Otsego, Broome, Delaware and Susquehanna (in Northeast PA). The territory is based on the regional configuration. Leads and manages a primarily volunteer team.

The Recovery and EMA (Emergency Management Agency) Relationships Support Specialist serves as functional support in a Red Cross Region for the Recovery Program Support function. Provides technical expertise, training, and implementation of Recovery, this position collaborates with regional employees and volunteers in the disaster territories to build capacity in the local community for the disaster cycle.

Disaster Program Manager – Sioux City, Iowa

The Disaster Program Manager is responsible for the implementation of the disaster services program in an assigned geographic territory which is based on the regional configuration.  The Disaster Program Manager leads and manages a primarily volunteer team responsible for the implementation of disaster preparedness, response, and recovery programs in the local area and ensures the development of Disaster Leadership Volunteers in each of the program support functional areas of the disaster cycle in order to meet the needs of the territory, region, state and division.  The Disaster Program Manager operates as a part of the Disaster Management Cycle processes.  It is responsible for local preparation, response and recovery management as well as management of government partnerships with assigned territory.  Drivers for this work include the number of municipalities within its coverage area, the amount and complexity of program activity, presence of significant grant funding, geography, risk, population, frequency of events, and regional structure.  The Disaster Program Manager performs these functions according to the guidance provided by the Regional Disaster Program (RDPO) and Disaster Program Officer (DPO); team leadership is provided by the RDPO. This position reports directly to the Senior DPO or the RDPO; and may have a dotted line to Community Executive in the territory they cover. This position may have dotted line supervision to program support functions within the Region and/or may also serve as a program support function lead within the Region.

The Disaster Program Manager (DPM) is responsible for either providing functional expertise to the Regional Disaster Officer and Volunteer Leadership at a regional level or taking full cycle responsibility to provide service delivery programs within a defined geography under the supervision and authority of a Senior DPM or Regional Disaster Officer. To accomplish this, the DPM will be responsible for the development and leadership of volunteers, as well as implementing and developing initiatives to increase Red Cross visibility through program/service delivery. Disaster Program Specialist - York, PA

Job Summary: The Disaster Program Specialist (DPS) is responsible for either providing functional expertise to the Disaster Program Manager (DPM) and Volunteer Leadership at a territory or regional level, or, taking full cycle responsibility to provide service delivery programs within a subset of the Disaster Program Managers assigned geography and under the supervision and authority of the DPM.  The DPS will accomplish this responsibility largely through the support, development and operational guidance of a team of trained volunteer leaders, volunteers and partners, as well as participate in the implementation and development of initiatives to increase Red Cross visibility through program/service delivery. These functions are performed under the direction of the Disaster Program Manager with technical support from the region and division. This position reports directly to the Disaster Program Manager and will work closely with, and receives technical guidance from program support functions at the regional level.  The DPS may serve in capacity as Disaster Program Manager when the DPM is unavailable.


Regional Disaster Program Officer II  - Louisville, KY

The RDPO is responsible for the implementation of the disaster services program throughout the region in alignment with established metrics. All disaster positions in a region have a solid line reporting relationship to the RDPO. The RDPO will also ensure that employees and volunteers within a region are assigned specific “relationship management” responsibilities with key emergency management staff, non-governmental organizations and corporate/organizations supporting disaster services (i.e., account management). Serves during times of disaster in an operational leadership role for any scale of disaster. Participates in a leadership role on larger operations regionally, division or nationwide. This position operates as a part of the Disaster Management Cycle processes. It is responsible for government partnerships, measurement and evaluation, information provision, preparation, and response management. Drivers for this work include the number of municipalities within its coverage area, the amount and complexity of program activity,  presence of significant grant funding, geography, risk, population, frequency of events, and regional structure. The Regional Disaster Program Officer performs these functions according to the direction provided by the Division Disaster Executive (DDE) and Regional Chapter Executive (RCE); team leadership is provided by the DDE. This position reports directly to the RCE; dotted line to DDE and receives personnel development from both.
