The Georgetown Climate Center is seeking an experienced and
committed individual to lead our work on climate adaptation and resilience
at the intersection of state, local, and federal climate policy. The Adaptation Program Director
develops and implements GCC’s climate resilience and adaptation program
strategy; oversees advanced research and projects; engages with state,
local, and federal policymakers; collaborates with community organizations,
NGOs, academic researchers, and other partners; and provides strategic
oversight to our extensive body of work including reports, analyses, and
databases.
Project areas include community-informed responses to urban
heat, managed retreat, implementing equitable adaptation, infrastructure
resilience, and more, with opportunities to grow based on the interests and
expertise of the incoming director. GCC is committed to building a diverse
