Food Security. May-June 2017. Washington, D.C. #BEMAinternationalfoodsecurity

Mother’s Day

This mother’s day, honor your mom (or grandmother, or daughter, or anyone “like a mom” to you) by providing meals to a mother in our area who’s working hard to feed her children, but could use a little support. Your gift will provide life-changing food that can make all the difference to her and her family.

Can You Tell? Communities most affected. April 2017

Which communities are most affected by the results of disasters?
Communities of color, disenfranchised, and poorest.

Can you tell which country, which community the following photo is from?
New Orleans?
Haiti?
Liberia?
Sierra Leone?
South Africa?
Malawi?

Time to turn discussions into actions.  Time for communities to organize, plan, prepare for all types of calamities in their communities.  Water, food, sheltering, population migration, homelessness are just a few.  Any plan is better than nothing at all.
