Dear Continuity
Professional:
Please join us on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, for the Continuity Webinar
titled: “Texas Continuity Initiative Webinar – Exercises.” This is the
second of a two part webinar. This month’s speakers are Mr. Kevin Clement
and Mrs. Maureen Clement. Mrs. Clement is Texas’ Statewide Continuity
Coordinator, State Office of Risk Management and Mr. Clement is the Strategic
Planner for Texas Homeland Security, Texas Department of Public Safety.
They are located in Austin, TX.
In 2013, the State of Texas began a major initiative to address
shortcomings in Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) by Texas State
agencies. The webinar provides a description of this initiative,
obstacles addressed, and the tools, training, and exercises developed, and
those promising practices and lessons learned in support of this effort.
This is the second presentation of two webinars: The first webinar, May
4, 2016, focused on planning and training; and this webinar will focus on the
planning and conduct of continuity exercises and sustainment of the
initiative.
