Direct Services Manager (UT & NV Region)

Job Summary: Some weekends and evenings will be required during times of business need. Travel will also be involved up to 25% of the time.

Responsible for leading and managing a primarily volunteer team in addition to paid staff to support and provide Mass Care, Logistics and Recovery program support in an assigned geographic area. The territory is based on the regional configuration.

Serves as the lead functional expert in a Red Cross Region for the Mass Care, Logistics, and Recovery functions. Recovery Manager – Madison, WI

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the implementation and provision of the disaster recovery program for the Wisconsin Region. The disaster recovery program includes disaster case management and health, mental health and spiritual care services for those recovering from a disaster. Leads and manages a primarily volunteer team.  The Wisconsin Region serves 1,500 to 2,000 households per year with immediate assistance and disaster recovery support. Most of these households are impacted by residential fires but we also help following floods, tornadoes, wildfires and other disasters. This position operates as a part of the Disaster Management Cycle processes. It is responsible for local preparation, response, and recovery management as well as management of government and community partnerships. Ensures the development of Disaster Leadership Volunteers in each of the program support functional areas of the disaster cycle to meet the needs of the region, state, and division.  The Recovery Manager performs these functions according to the guidance provided by the Regional Disaster Officer. This position reports directly to the RDO.  This position works closely with, is supported by, and receives technical guidance from geographic managers and program support functions at the regional level.
