COCO originated in 2008 via residents and organizations in the Greater Houston area to make sure that community interests are represented at the city, state and national levels, and that stakeholders have a vested interest in maintaining healthy, sustainable communities.

Mission:  COCO's mission is to educate, empower, and enhance loves, to make informed decisions with the goal of obtaining healthy and sustainable communities.

As an Affiliate\Nonprofit member we seek to enhance their mission, goal, and to support them in all efforts to bring resilient and disaster planning objective for underserved communities in the greater Houston, Texas area.

In joining BEMA Int COCO seeks to create a relationship with DHS\FEMA, expand to solar backed-up resilience centers and most importantly an organization similar to BEMA’s Los Angeles members in an organization similar to Emergency Network Los Angeles (ENLA, https://enla.org/ ) for an Emergency Network Houston, Texas (EMHT) for community education & training, exercise participation for community engagement, participation in all the phases of emergency management while continuing their CERT (community emergency response team) objectives.

I ask all members to reach out to COCO welcoming them to BEMA International.

Team COCO taking control of their community.  Coming together as a coalition, a collective for change with no more business as usual approached.
