upcoming webinar on environmental health issues related to
schools and daycares:
Title: Healthy Schools / Healthy Daycares
Date: October 30, 2017 • 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EDT
Registration (required):
Description
On the heels of the second annual Children’s Environmental
Health Day (October 12, 2017) and the 15th annual National Healthy Schools Day
(April 4, 2017), this webinar will focus on one important aspect of children’s
environmental health – their learning environment. Approximately 55 million
children are in 130,000 public and private PK-12 schools every day, and 9.8
million are in out-of-home, nonrelative, licensed child care and Head Start
centers. Therefore, it is important to reflect on the different exposures that
may affect their health and consider strategies for preventing or reducing
those potential harms. In this webinar, we will hear from two experts in the
field who will discuss the critical issues requiring our attention, the
advances that have been made, and the opportunities for future work.
