We Salute Our 2014 - 2016 Fellows! |

          |
Join us in saluting the 2014 -- 2016 fellows class.
Our esteemed fellows worked with congressional members and
committees, attended leadership development seminars, completed
community service projects and produced legislative recommendations
to make existing policy work better.

CBCF Fellows gained invaluable insight into the
legislative process. By working in Congressional Black Caucus (CBC)
member offices they were able to assist in the
development of public policy initiatives that

               aim to better our communities.

Many of our fellows will be continuing their public
service in Washington, D.C. in new government and non-profit
positions. Join us in celebrating the CBCF fellowship cohort of
          2014 - 2016!

Our Second Executive Economic Summit Was a Rousing
          Success! |

          |
The CBCF convened its second Executive Economic Summit
on May 6, 2016, in Berkeley, CA.

The Summit highlighted the challenges minorities face
with access to capital and the various contributing factors that have
historically and disproportionately affected African-American owned
          STEM firms and business enterprises.

The CBCF connected a diverse group of business leaders,
policymakers, and venture capitalists to build a smarter approach to
growth for minority-owned STEM businesses and African-American entrepreneurs.

Industry heads such as STEMboard CEO and Founder Aisha
Bowe, Base Ventures Founding and Managing Partner Erik Moore,
and SoftTech Venture Capital Partner Charles Hudson
discussed wealth creation, building capital, and Federal initiatives
          to promote business.
