Global community steps up with $93 billion support package to boost resilient recovery in world’s poorest countries 

The World Bank announced today a $93 billion replenishment package of the International Development Association (IDA) to help low-income countries respond to the COVID-19 crisis and build a greener, more resilient, and inclusive future. The financing brings together $23.5 billion of contributions from 48 high- and middle-income countries with financing raised in the capital markets, repayments, and the World Bank’s own contributions.

SAMHSA is now accepting applications for the first-ever SAMHSA Harm Reduction Grant Program and expects to issue $30 million in grant awards. This funding, authorized by the American Rescue Plan, will help increase access to a range of community harm reduction services and support harm reduction service providers as they work to help prevent overdose deaths and reduce health risks often associated with drug use.

Purpose: To review the requirements of this funding opportunity and to answer frequently asked questions from prospective applicants.
