National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month


The HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) recognizes July as National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month and encourages partners to join us in educating communities about the importance of mental healthcare and treatment especially during the pandemic. 

OMH will also encourage behavioral health professionals to develop their knowledge and skills to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate services through OMH's free and accredited e-learning program

$75K in Prizes. MENTAL Health Innovation Challenge July 2020

The Administration for Community Living (ACL) along with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), components of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), are offering up to $750,000 in prizes and an opportunity to reach up to 10 million Americans in the Mobilizing and Empowering the Nation and Technology to Address Loneliness & social isolation (MENTAL) Health Innovation Challenge. The goal of the challenge is to increase consumer awareness and use of technology tools that keep racial and ethnic minority populations, older adults, people with disabilities and Veterans socially engaged and connected to families, friends, communities and activities of interest.
Deadline for registration is July 15.
