WEBINAR: Grantmakers balance the IRS due diligence requirements for grants. December 8th.

The Center for Disaster Philanthropy is hosting a webinar on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. ET to help grantmakers balance the IRS due diligence requirements for grants with the need to move swiftly and minimize the burden on grantee partners during a disaster.

Moderated by CDP’s Chief Financial Officer, Jennifer Commander, the panel will discuss how foundations and other institutional donors can think differently about risk. Speakers will explore the legalities of grantmaking, including what is and isn’t required and how simplifying the requirements can increase equity for communities of color.

Panelists will include Remy Barnwell of the Council on Foundations, Iara Peng of Just Fund and Katrina Julien of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta.

Learn About Chlorine

Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)

Did you know that over 1.8 billion people are drinking contaminated water? Chlorine is a powerful and affordable disinfectant commonly used for disinfecting drinking water in humanitarian settings. However, monitoring and dosing chlorine needs to be carefully managed to ensure the safe disinfection of water.

This free online training from CAWST includes five short modules to equip you with foundational knowledge about the chlorination process and how to properly use it when testing and disinfecting water for WASH programs.

Baking Soda
