“Our
lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each
crime and every kindness, we birth our future.”
Our
next generation and existing world leaders must memorialize those that have paved
the way for current and future generations to benefit from the sacrifices that
they, and all have endured for justice and equity of our communities.
Our
communities in North America (U.S., Canada), Caribbean Island Nations, those the
Organization of American States (OAS), the nations of Africa, and the Sixth Region
of Africa the Diaspora.
I ask
that all BEMA International members in the Washington, D.C. area, our friends,
supporters, and others join myself and others at the memorial and farewell in
honour of Dr. Hage G. Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia this
Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the University of the District of Columbia
(UDC). Parking on the UDC campus is free.
Memorialize
H.E. Dr. Geingob, your ancestors, and others lost even during this long-term
recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each of
us are a part of the past, the present, and the future of the leaders and family members before us.
Sincerely,
Charles
