Significant Events
                    Response to Harvey; 
                    Hurricane Irma Preparation

Tropical Activity:

        •  Atlantic – Hurricane Irma (CAT 5); Disturbance 1 – High (90%);
                  Disturbance 2 – Medium (70%)

        •  Eastern Pacific – No tropical cyclones expected next 5 days

        •  Central Pacific – No tropical cyclones expected next 48 hours 

        •  Western Pacific – No activity affecting U.S. interests

Significant Weather:  

        •  Slight Risk of Severe Thunderstorms – Mid-Atlantic to the Northeast
        •  Red Flag Warnings – OR, ID & WA
        •  Space weather:
            ○  Past 24 hours: MODERATE; Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level occurred.                    Solar radiation storms reaching the S2 level occurred. Radio blackouts reaching the                  R2 level occurred
            ○  Next 24 hours: MINOR; Solar radiation storms reaching the S1 level are expected.

Radio blackouts reaching the R1 level are expected

Earthquake Activity: 

             No significant activity
