Unpacking the Conflict in Libya: A Private Briefing with Anas El Gomati, Director of the Sadeq Institute

The Wilson Center’s Africa Program and Middle East Program invite you to a briefing with Anas El Gomati, Director of Libya’s first think tank, the Sadeq Insitute, on Tuesday, June 25 from 10:30 am-12:00 pm in the 6th Floor Boardroom at the Wilson Center.
Mr. El Gomati will give a briefing on the current situation in Libya and address geopolitical dynamics at play as well as competing narratives around the conflict. His remarks will also highlight the most pressing challenges facing Libya and its people, including the dire situation of the internally displaced across the country.
Merissa Khurma, Project Director, Middle East Special Initiatives at the Wilson Center will moderate the meeting. Michael Morrow, Senior Diplomatic Fellow with the Africa Program will give opening remarks.
This event will be held under Chatham House non-attribuation rule.
