UNEP, OCHA and NIDM India are pleased to announce the launch of a Global Webinar Series on “Environment and Emergencies in the face of COVID-19”. This is being done in collaboration UNEP/OCHA Joint Environment Unit (JEU) and the National Institute of Disaster Management of India.
The series will cover different aspects of readiness for and response to the environmental dimensions of emergencies in a global pandemic context (from coordination and assessments to waste management, re-starting industry and the sustainability of humanitarian action, among others).
It will consist of six webinars running from July to December, with the first webinar taking place on Wednesday 29th July at 14:00-15:30 (UTC+2). The series draws its structure and content from the very popular Environmental Emergencies training which the JEU has been delivering over the past decade.
