Climate solutions boost human well-being in Africa and South Asia

Good news: Climate mitigation solutions that help increase human well-being, alleviate extreme poverty, address inequities, and advance adaptation are at hand. Building from the key findings of its landmark 2022 Climate-Poverty Connections report, Drawdown Lift has just released a new short video—“Climate Solutions that Boost Human Well-Being in Africa and South Asia”—that illuminates ways policymakers and decision-makers can harmonize policies and align funding to address climate change and poverty synergistically across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Drawdown Roadmap

Introducing the Drawdown Roadmap

Climate change is a real and serious issue—but our actions to date have been woefully insufficient. How can we advance climate solutions more quickly? Please join Project Drawdown executive director Jonathan Foley in a webinar, “Introducing the Drawdown Roadmap: Accelerating Action to Address the Climate Crisis,” November 3, November 10, or December 8 to find out.

In this 60-minute talk, Foley will present new research that points to which climate actions we should prioritize—across sectors, timescales, and geographies—to make the most of efforts to achieve drawdown. In addition, he will show how recognizing co-benefits of climate solutions that improve health, well-being, equity, and more can help accelerate action. Finally, he will look at the importance of pulling multiple levers to scale climate solutions—including changes in policy, capital flows, business models, technology, and behavior. Bonus: Drawdown Labs director Jamie Beck Alexander will join in the November 10 event!

Register now to learn how you can make the most of your commitment to create a safe climate for future generations and achieve the change we need before it's too late.
