Program Analyst (Equity Analyst)

Office: Recovery Directorate, Individual Assistance (IA) Division

Duty Station: Washington, DC / Hyattsville, MD / Denton, TX / Winchester, VA

Series-Grade: IC-12/13

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading teams/programs in diversity, equity, accessibility or inclusion; apply change management to create strategies that improve IA programs; lead initiatives by building strategic partnerships, work with stakeholders and manage coordination. Job Responsibilities: Typical assignments include:

  • Provides timely, authoritative, and sound advice and recommendations regarding matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion;
  • Develops and coordinates with appropriate stakeholders to ensure coordination of training, job aids, and tools for IA staff that addresses equity, diversity, cultural awareness, and inclusiveness;
  • Representative on working groups with related interests and team member for equity and strategic initiatives office;
  • Leading or reviewing projects to collect, analyze, and present data regarding matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion from a wide variety of traditional and nontraditional sources.

Qualifications/Requirements: You qualify for this position at the IC-12 level (starting salary $85,838) if you possess the following:  One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-11) in the Federal Service.  This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience.  Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Analyzes programs and provides expert advice on complex areas e.g., diversity, equity, accessibility, or inclusion;
  • Applies concepts of change management to create actionable strategies and courses of action that improve programs and services;
  • Leads initiatives by building strategic partnerships, working closely with stakeholder groups, and supporting cross-cutting coordination efforts, etc.
