Grant Opportunities: EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grants. October 25, 2023

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

New Online Resources and Upcoming Webinar on GHG Quantification!  

On October 19, 2023, EPA published the Quantified Climate Action Measures Directory which presents information on the quantified greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction measures in select state and local climate action plans published between January 2018 and August 2023. The directory identifies approaches that existing plans have used to quantify GHG reduction measures and links to more detailed information in state and local planning documents.  

EPA will offer a webinar on November 2nd at 3:30 pm ET to describe the research methods used to develop the directory, present summary findings about the examples within the directory, and demonstrate how to use the directory. Click here to register

IMPLEMENTATION GRANTS COMPETITIONS UPDATES

On September 20, 2023, EPA announced two competitions for $4.6 billion in implementation grants under the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants program. Visit the CPRG implementation grants webpage for more information and for the latest Questions and Answers about the competitions. 

EPA also hosted overview webinars for the two implementation grants competitions. All slides and recordings are now available on the CPRG implementation grants webpage.  

Questions and Answers documents are available for the Implementation Grants General Competition Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) (Updated October 23, 2023) and Implementation Grants Competition for Tribes and Territories Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) (Updated October 20,2023). These documents will be updated approximately every two weeks on the CPRG implementation grants webpage

PLANNING GRANTS UPDATES

Almost all CPRG Planning Grants have now been awarded! For the latest on CPRG planning grant award status and recipients, please visit the CPRG planning grants webpage

TRAINING, TOOLS AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

EPA provided a series of trainings for state, metro area, Tribe, and territory CPRG planning grant recipients. The trainings are grouped and organized based on the CPRG workplan elements as referenced in the program guidance and prioritized based on the required elements for the Priority Climate Action Plans due in early 2024. Each training is 1-1.5 hours long including Q&A.

 

We encourage you to visit the CPRG Training, Tools and Technical Assistance webpage to watch the training recordings and view presentation slides and additional Q&A documents for questions that were not answered during the recorded Q&A session of the training. The webpage also includes links to resources organized by workplan elements.
