Hello Alice and DoorDash invite applications for the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund, which provides grants of $10,000 to be used for any expense related to loss in revenue as a direct result of a state/tribal or federally declared natural disaster (like fires, floods, and hurricanes), but that would not be covered by insurance. These expenses include payments of principal or interest on any mortgage obligation; rent payments, including rent under a lease agreement; utilities; maintenance, including new outdoor seating construction; supplies and materials; food and beverage inventory; covered supplier costs; business operational expenses; any other expense essential to maintain operations.
Applicants must be a for-profit business located and registered in one of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico and be a restaurant, gastropub, or bakery with a brick-and-mortar location that experienced a loss in revenue as a direct result of a state/tribal or federally declared natural disaster within the last 12 months; has three or fewer total locations; has 50 or fewer employees per location; has been open for at least six months; has revenues of $3 million or less per location in 2020; and is independently owned.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Hello Alice website.
