Escondido Community Foundation invites applications for outdoor enhancement programs

The vision of the Escondido Community Foundation, an affiliate of the San Diego Foundation, is to inspire a culture of giving that supports, strengthens, and enriches the quality of life in the Escondido community now and for generations to come.

The foundation invites applications for its 2024-2025 grant cycle, which is focused on outdoor community enhancement. Grants between $15,000 and $40,000 will be awarded for projects that will upgrade community spaces in Escondido. Examples include benches, shade trees, shade structures, playground improvements, splash pads, playing field improvements, water stations, lighting, workout stations, and informational signs in nature areas. 

Grants must be administered by a 501(c)(3) public charity or an organization that is fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) school or another government agency.

Letters of intent are due January 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PT, and upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application, due March 28, 2024.
