Champaign seeks qualified candidates for a
30 hour per week opportunity as an
Emergency Management Coordinator in the Fire Department. This position is
funded for two years from the date of hire. Non-Union

Responsibilities of Position
The Emergency
Management Coordinator is the City’s subject matter expert in
emergency and disaster preparedness,
planning, and response. In this newly
created position, they will complete an
all-hazards threat analysis and use the
results to drive the development and
implementation of organization-wide
emergency operations and disaster services
policies and plans and identification of
Emergency Operations Center needs. They
will train City employees and
collaborate with staff from other agencies
on emergency operations coordination. Required Qualifications
Qualifications
Drug screening, driving abstract, and
criminal background check will be required.
The annual starting salary range is
$55,648.01 - $63,351.05. Applications must be submitted online no later than Sunday,
