The position is located in the Emergency Management Directorate (EMD), Emergency Preparedness Division (EPD). The EPD focuses on comprehensive all-hazards emergency management and continuity of operations preparedness for the Pentagon Reservation and Pentagon Facilities using National Incident Management System (NIMS) and National Response Framework (NRF) principles.
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
- Assists with the development, implementation, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of the Pentagon's Emergency Operations Plan in accordance with Federal regulations.
- Conducts operational planning and coordination for special events and emergency incidents on the Pentagon Reservation.
- Assists with the readiness of facilities, testing and evaluation of equipment at the Pentagon, Raven Rock Mountain Complex, and NCR leased facilities to ensure the agency is operational and prepared in emergency situations.
- Assists with conducting all-hazards-risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments.
