Webinar Series: Trauma-Informed Innovations in Crisis Services Part Three: Implementing the Trauma-Informed Principle of Peer Support in a Crisis Service Setting Monday, June 26, 2017 | 3–4 p.m. Eastern Time Join us for a monthly webinar series that will highlight the innovative work of crisis service providers employing a trauma-informed approach. The series, sponsored by SAMHSA's National Center for Trauma-Informed Care and Alternatives to Seclusion and Restraint, will take place from April through September 2017 on the fourth Monday of each month from 3 to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. Part three of the series will feature a presentation from staff members of Grassroots Wellness Peer-Run Respite and Learning Community in Wisconsin, who will share how their peer-run respite fosters empowerment, voice, and choice as part of an overall trauma-informed approach. They will also share insights about how to help people seeking support by offering opportunities for shared decision-making and goal setting to determine the plan of action they need to heal and move forward.
