Our farmer training workshops are a great place to expand your networks, build on your current skillsets, and quench your thirst for farming experience.


Farm experience is a balance between learning and hands-on fun, at no cost to the veteran participant. A farm to table lunch is also provided from a local catering small business.
  •  Do you want to help your local Korea and Vietnam era veterans or want to brush up on your raised garden bed skills? Register for our June 6th project with Poughkeepsie's VFW Post 170.
  • Are you curious on how to make your favorite types of brews (ales, lagers, IPAs, etc) and wondering if its something you could do from the comfort of your home? Register for our June 14th workshop with Black Snake Brewing Company.

COVID-19 2020 and Beyond. Volunteer Compensation. IRS Rules must change


 Equity must come in multiple forms and options in vulnerable communities

·      Are IRS rules regarding in-kind compensation, and other rewards or compensation a hindrance for volunteers especially in vulnerable communities?

·      Should volunteer compensation be taxable or a credit to increase the number of volunteers during times of crisis locally, Statewide, and during a National Significant Event?
