IMF has released a Corruption Cost Tracker, an interactive online tool

GOVERNANCE

Corruption Cost Tracker

The IMF has released a Corruption Cost Tracker, an interactive online tool that enables policymakers and stakeholders address corruption risks in public procurement. It has dashboards for corruption risk analysis, spending analysis, efficiency gains, and policy scenarios

Corruption Cost Tracker

The Corruption Cost Tracker (CCT) is a global intelligence tool for analysing where corruption risks lie in public procurement, how big are their costs, and which are the reforms offering the greatest savings. It covers 33 countries from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. The CCT is an interactive online tool, with dashboards for Corruption Risk Analysis, Spending Analysis, Efficiency Gains, COVID-19-related goods, and Policy Scenarios. Each of the dashboards allows users to undertake their own analysis by comparing sectors, regions, years, and buyer types.

The CCT assists national authorities, the staff of the IMF and the World Bank, and relevant civil society organisations in identifying priority areas for governance and anti-corruption reforms. In particular, the CCT can help inform these reforms by providing a granular identification of where public procurement in a given country is the most vulnerable to corruption, and what are the potential gains to be expected from targeted reforms such as increasing the rate of publishing calls for tenders.

Homelessness is on the rise regionwide, according to COG's 2023 Homelessness in Metropolitan Washington report, which analyzes results from the annual point in time count, conducted by nine local cities and counties. All participating jurisdictions saw incidences of homelessness rise between 2022 and 2023, following a record low number recorded last year.
