In business set your standard for credibility, and trust high

In a moment your trust and credibility could be lost in your community.

Set a high standard for your actions to be above reproach, conflict of interest, and to address any appearance of impropriety.

"My client has conditionally agreed to plead guilty to a single count of giving some small dollar gifts to a FEMA official as part of a relationship that was both personal and business," Bill Leone, an attorney representing Ellison, told NBC News in an email. "The statute in question makes it an offense to simply give gifts to an official if they are, even in part, motivated by gratitude for an official’s action and even if there is also a personal relationship between them."

First all-Black Climbing Team to Climb Mount Everest Talks About Inspiring Others.

Seven members of the Full Circle Everest group scaled Mount Rainier in Washington last year and worked to conquer Everest after that. The team left base camp May 2, reaching the summit May 12. Of the estimated 10,000 people to have previously climbed Everest, only about 10 were Black, meaning Full Circle’s feat nearly doubled the number of Black climbers who’ve reached its peak.

The group said this marks an important moment for the Black community.

The Full Circle Everest Team represents a zenith in generational perseverance. This expedition will showcase the tenacity and strength of these climbers, and highlight the barriers that continue to exist for Black communities in accessing the outdoors. This historic attempt will inspire the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts, educators, leaders, and mountaineers of color to continue chasing their personal summits.

In 2022, this group of climbers will make history as the first all Black team to attempt to summit the highest mountain on earth.

In 1963, the first American expedition reached the summit of Everest. That same year Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his historic “I Have A Dream” speech. It took 40 more years for the first Black climber to summit Everest. Still, there has never been an all-Black team to summit the tallest mountain on Earth.
