June 23, 2017 Deadline for UPO's Joseph A. Beavers Scholarship for Rising Seniors

The application deadline for UPO's Joseph A. Beavers Scholarship has been extended!

Rising seniors can submit applications until
June 23, 2017 at 11:59pm.

The UPO Joseph A. Beavers Scholarship is for ambitious Washington, D.C. high school students who aspire to change the quality of their lives and their community. Annually the Scholarship awards $10,000 each to five low-income students, attending any DC high school! This scholarship was established in recognition of our former board member and DC activist, Joseph A. Beavers. It honors his commitment to education and academic success.

Share this opportunity and help a deserving student move toward higher education with a $10,000 college scholarship!

Beavers Society Spotlight

The Beavers Society is an exclusive group for current and past recipients of the Joseph A. Beavers scholarship. In addition to receiving a scholarship, every Beavers scholar is granted membership in the UPO Beavers Society. Students become a part of the UPO family, which means we continue to offer support and encouragement throughout college graduation and beyond.
