Career Worker Training

The Deep South Center for Environmental Justice (DSCEJ) has been helping the residents in Greater New Orleans obtain gainful employment since 1995 through this FREE program.

Students receive 12 weeks of basic skills training which includes job readiness and life skills training to ensure success in their educational and vocational goals.

Students also receive 12 weeks of technical training.

Training & Certification in:

· HAZWOPER

· ASBESTOS ABATEMENT

· LEAD ABATEMENT

· 10 HOUR OSHA

· MOLD REMEDIATION

· CONSTRUCTION/ WEATHERIZATION

The DSCEJ has a track record of placing 98% of its graduates in employment within the environmental industry.

Average wage earned:

$18 - 20 per hour

SCHEDULE

Testing & Interviewing:

NOW - December 6, 2022

12 Week Training:

January 4 - March 25, 2023
