The FORCE Leaders Keith & Brenda Muhammid with Charles Sharp

To end National Preparedness Month I visited one of our earliest member sites in Syracuse, NY the 'FORCE' (Focusing Our Resources for Community Enlightenment).  The FORCE President Ms. Brenda Muhammad and Keith Muhammad, the family team have been active members of BEMA International since September 2011.

Both Brenda & Keith since always received our continued support as their nonprofit (FORCE) growth and ventures with the Onondaga CERT Council, college and higher education opportunities, webinars, financial, and other opportunities.

BEMA International has been there, and will continue to support the FORCE growth in their current and future programs for community enlightenment, sustainability, resiliency, STEAM, health (mental and physical) and wellness, and other programs especially for our next generation leaders.

The FORCE are creating leaders locally, nationally, and with the recent recipients of their services to the continent of Africa.

Thank you Brenda and Keith for letting BEMA International advise and serve your community.

Sincerely,

Charles D. Sharp

Micron announces historic investment of up to $100 billion to build megafab in Central New York

https://www.micron.com/ny

Micron’s leading-edge memory fab will create nearly 50,000 New York jobs over more than 20 years; New Green CHIPS Community Fund to invest $500 million in community and workforce development over time.

About the project

In 2022, Micron announced its plans to build the largest semiconductor fabrication facility in the history of the United States. Micron intends to invest up to $100 billion over the next 20-plus years to construct a new megafab in Clay, New York, with the first-phase investment of $20 billion planned by the end of this decade. The new megafab will increase domestic supply of leading-edge memory, create nearly 50,000 New York jobs and represent the largest private investment in New York state history. Micron will design, build and operate the facility in accordance with its sustainability goals.

Micron’s project is aligned with the goals of the CHIPS and Science Act Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to enhance U.S. economic and national security by securing a leading edge in critical technologies and rebuilding a highly complex but critical manufacturing sector in the U.S.

In New York, the combination of a grant of commensurate scale and the long-term investment tax credit will help to bring high-volume leading-edge DRAM manufacturing to the U.S. on economically competitive terms.
