Health
Fair Serving Frederick's Growing Diverse Community
Frederick
County, MD is working to ensure health and wellness for all residents but many
people in our communities still face considerable challenges to receiving
quality care. In 2008, only 12.3 percent of Latinos in the county had private
health insurance. Because of language barriers and poverty, access to care is a
struggle for many minorities. On Saturday, Nov. 17th,, a group of volunteers
committed to bridging the health gap for area residents will host the
5th Annual Community Health Fair at the Church of the Brethren.
