Grant Opportunity: NY State. Saratoga Arts Invites LOIs for Community Arts Grants Deadline: November 28, 2023

Saratoga Arts Invites LOIs for Community Arts Grants

The mission of Saratoga Arts is to enrich the upstate New York State region by cultivating a vibrant arts community and ensuring that the arts are accessible to all.

The organization invites applications for its Community Arts Grants program, which will provide grants of up to $5,000 to support projects that are open to the community they serve and allow the citizens of that community to interact directly with art. An excellent project will involve professional, high-caliber artists and personnel. The project itself should demonstrate a skillful practice of a particular artistic discipline or genre and strive to offer a quality art experience with strong cultural ties to the community it serves.

Priorities for 2024 include encouragement of diverse arts and cultural programming of high artistic quality throughout Fulton, Montgomery, or Saratoga County that promote inclusivity; creative, original, and new approaches for bringing the arts to the public; participation of rural, minority, and economically disadvantaged populations; and efforts to strengthen collaborative efforts between nonprofit organizations, between artists, and between organizations and artists.

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) or New York State nonprofit organizations with an active board of trustees either incorporated in New York State or registered to do business in New York State; government or quasi-governmental entities or tribal organizations; and individual artists, groups or collectives, and unincorporated entities that are working with an eligible fiscal sponsor or community-based partner. Applicants must be located in Fulton, Montgomery, or Saratoga County.

Applicants may submit applications (in full or any portion they would like reviewed) to the grants coordinator for written notes by October 31, 2023, and the final day to submit applications is November 28, 2023.

For complete program guidelines, application instructions, a list of previously funded projects, and to register for an informational webinar, see the Saratoga Arts website.
